Great Summits to Climb Near Metro Manila

Climbing was on my list. I never had a chance to do it until I met Jin and Mark. Honestly I don't know what it takes to be called “a mountaineer" all I've got is passion and want to be on top of a mountain.

Here are some of the country’s most eye-catching peaks to climb near Metro Manila
1. Mount Tagapo - Talim Island, Binangonan, Rizal
My first mountaineering experience was at Mount Tagapo, also known as Susong Dalaga which literally translates to “A Virgin's Breast " According to wikipedia: Two huge mounds of conical hills resembling the female breast, which are the highest peak of the Island. The mountain features the superb view of different mountains like  Mt. Banahaw, Mt. Makiling, Mt. Sembrano, Mt Cristobal, Sierra Madre, Mt. Arayat and Mt. Maculot.
2. Mt. Maculot- Rockies - Cuenca, Batangas
Mt. Maculot-Rockies , is offered a breathtaking scenic view, encompassing the whole of Taal Lake including the world-famous Taal volcano. Mt. Maculot is one of the most popular mountain destinations in the Philippines.
3. Mt. Batulao - Nasugbo, Batangas
Mt. Batulao is about 810 meters above sea level and stretches along the town of Nasugbo, Batangas. Its name came from "Bato sa Ilaw" because of the 2 major summits of the mountain that enclose the sun during sunset.
